Description of Sestral SR4
The Sestral SR4 is a Class A approved compass, making it suitable for ships of any size. For more than 100 years, the magnetic compass bowl has been made of brass, but the design of the Sestral SR4 compass marks a major advance in marine compasses. The SR4 is the best Class A compass on the market.

Design and functionality
The SR4 compass is built with a polycarbonate body, eliminating the issues that brass compasses can have with joints that can potentially leak. Traditional compasses that are filled with liquid can get air bubbles if a leak occurs, which can make it harder to read the compass. The SR4 compass solves this problem completely.

The base is pre-drilled and has additional mounting holes that allow a wide range of TMC sensors to be mounted. The SR4 compass can be mounted in a compass tower or on a bracket. The mounting options are flexible and allow for both table and ceiling mounting. For ceiling mounting, the compass can be read via a mirror device (only available as an accessory on request). The compass is externally gyro-suspended for increased stability.
